HealthiNation announced today that successful entrepreneur and accomplished digital media expert Doug McFarland will join the company in the newly created role of Chief Digital Officer. In this position, McFarland will oversee digital strategy and operations activities to support the company on its path to become the most trusted video brand in health. The appointment was announced today by Raj Amin, CEO and founder of HealthiNation.
Health concerns continue to surround and dominate the American lifestyle, as health costs continue to skyrocket. A renewed emphasis on preventative healthcare is evidenced by initiatives like “Let’s Move” that are being driven from a White House that has put our country’s health at the top of its agenda.

While HealthiNation’s video programming is currently available to over 72 million people monthly through its TV and online platforms, the company plans to announce new partnerships and a slate of new video programming in the coming weeks.

McFarland has been a part of HealthiNation’s extended team for two years as a board member. He was most recently Co-CEO of Dimestore Media, which was acquired last year by KnowledgeNetwork. Previously, he was CEO of ScanScout (where he continues on the board of directors), EVP/GM of Eyeblaster, and EVP/GM of Advertising.com. McFarland was also appointed President of Jupiter/Media Metrix.
