Raise your hand if, after a traditional Thanksgiving meal, you've curled up on the couch, yawning and ready for a nap. If you raised your hand, don't worry, you certainly aren't alone. Between the high amounts of carbs, sugars, and starches we consume on Thanksgiving, it's no wonder our bodies go into a bit of an insulin overdrive before crashing for the evening.

 

Thanksgiving can be a bit deceiving. Sure, the table is full of vegetables, but most often they are topped with loads of butter and salt or gravy. This Thanksgiving, challenge yourself to make your meal a bit healthier with these helpful tips.
