High Blood Pressure February is American Heart Month

But, this year, Registered Dietician, Sharon Richter suggests adding a heart healthy twist by looking for dark chocolate.

Besides tasting good, dark chocolate is high in antioxidants, which are believed to protect us against heart disease and cancer. Studies show that a small portion of dark chocolate can reduce LDL cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) and lower blood pressure.
 
For a healthy indulgence that is easy to prepare and will impress your Valentine, try dark chocolate covered strawberries.
 
2 dark chocolate-covered strawberries = 60 calories, 3g fat
