Eating
for the Heart!When
we think Valentine's Day, we think chocolate.
But, this year, Registered Dietician, Sharon Richter suggests adding a
heart healthy twist by looking for dark chocolate. Besides tasting good, dark chocolate is high
in antioxidants, which are believed to protect us against heart disease and
cancer. Studies show that a small portion of dark chocolate can reduce LDL
cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) and lower blood pressure.
For
a healthy indulgence that is easy to prepare and will impress your Valentine,
try dark chocolate covered strawberries.
