Coping with Arthritis

There are many things you can do to ease the pain and symptoms of arthritis, including rest, heat and cold therapies, exercise, watching your weight and taking certain vitamins and supplements. Osteoarthritis pain is typically aggravated by activity, so upon rest, the pain will usually return to its normal level. However, exercise is also important because it can strengthen muscles around joints, helping to stabilize them and also increase flexibility. In this video, Dr. Holly Atkinson provides arthritis tips and explains why each of these is helpful when dealing with osteoarthritis. By following these tips and listening to your body's responses to stimuli, coping with arthritis can be made much easier.
