Did you know that type 2 diabetes puts you at a higher risk of developing heart disease? If you have type 2 diabetes your body does not use insulin properly. This is called insulin resistance. Cardiologist Dr. Tara Narula explains the connection between heart disease and type 2 diabetes, as well as some insight into how to lower your risk.
