It’s crucial to get adequate rest after you exercise because when you sleep, it gives your body time to heal. It also allows your body to produce growth hormones, which are crucial for muscle development.

Certified personal trainer Holly Rilinger discusses the importance of sleep in this Kickstart Workout tip. First, exercise! When you are tired, you will sleep better. Remove electronic distractions like your phone and turn off your TV. Also make sure to set the right environment in your bedroom – buy blackout shades, do something at night that relaxes you, anything to prepare yourself for a great night’s rest.
