Clean Eating expert Arielle Haspel takes the intimidation out of this process with her easy cherry cashew homemade yogurt recipe. Smooth, tangy and just a tad tart, this homemade yogurt recipe serves as the perfect snack when you are craving something sweet.

Be sure to plan ahead before beginning this homemade yogurt recipe, since you'll need at least one hour to soak your raw cashews in a bowl of water to make them super creamy. Once your cashews soak for between 1 and 24 hours, all that's left to do is combine the rest of your ingredients, including almond milk, maple syrup, coconut butter, vanilla extract, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and cherries into a food processor and blend up some happiness. While you can substitute other nuts in this recipes, cashews are ideal because they make the best creamy texture.



  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup pitted cherries
  • 1 tsp. maple syrup
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 3 tsp. coconut butter
Soak raw cashews in bowl with water for at least 1 hour (overnight is best) Drain soaked cashews Blend all ingredients on low in a food processor or blender until creamy Serve in a bowl and eat plain or with some granola or fruit Yields: 2-4 servings
