Soft boiled eggs make a great breakfast, but they can be a little tricky to perfect. Phoebe Lapine shows you how to soft boil an egg.
First, bring a pot of water up to a boil and carefully dip one of your raw eggs into the water. You’re going to want to leave this egg in the water for exactly 4 minutes to get that perfect soft texture. Once your four minutes are done, carefully take your egg out of the pot and place it on a cutting board to cool slightly. When you’re ready to eat your egg, gently tap the top of it with your spoon and carefully remove the shell. This simple way to soft boil an egg will leave your egg hard on the outside and perfectly gooey on the inside. Enjoy your breakfast!
