Buffalo Wild Wings got nothing on Sam Tan's homemade original wings! So stay home, put on the football game and dig into these amazing chicken wings!

Buffalo Wild Wings got nothing on Sam Tan's homemade original wings! Homemade wings are better than most wings you pay for in any restaurant. So stay home, put on the football game and dig into these amazing chicken wings packed with endless flavor!

In this episode of Sam Tan’s Kitchen, Sam demonstrates how to make her mother’s famous Sticky Hoisin Roast Chicken Wings. They are great for dinner or especially an appetizer. All you will need is hoisin (Sam recommends the brand Lee Kum Kee), chicken wings and some honey. 25 minutes later they are done and you have a tasty treat! These wings have a tangy and zesty taste, perfect for those who aren't a fan of hot wings!

Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • Honey to drizzle
  • 4 tablespoons Lee Kum Kee hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Shaoxing cooking rice wine (or dry sherry)
Instructions
Cut the chicken wings into two parts, separating at the joints between the drummets and the wings. Combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and rice wine and coat each piece well. Refrigerate overnight. When ready to cook, arrange the pieces on a baking tray lined with foil and baste with marinade. Drizzle generously with lots of honey. Roast at about 350 degrees for about 25 minutes or until a nice caramelized reddish brown. Flip wings over, glaze again with lots of honey and any leftover marinade and continue roasting until golden and sticky. *If your wings are cooked but look too pale for your liking, drizzle with honey and place it on the top rack of your oven under the grill/broil function for a few minutes until it bubbles and turns deep red. This is a quick cheat to get the honey to caramelize faster. Let it cool a little so you don't burn your fingers Serves 4
