What is a Pound Class you ask? Created by two female drummers, the POUND workout fuses cardio interval training with drumming to provide a challenging, heart-pumping workout. This is a truly unique and engaging workout, there’s no need to watch the clock to make sure you get in your 2 hours because time flies during this exhilarating exercise.
In episode 4 of Tryout Workout, Desi heads to Crunch Gym in New York City for a Pound class. Pound uses exercise drumsticks called rip sticks and combines fitness and exercise with good old-fashioned fun. In a Pound class you’ll do squats, Pilates, cardio and more. It’s a full-body workout that’s fun and you may even improve your drumming skills along the way. No experience necessary.
