Back to school checkups are important. In this video, Dr. Preeti Parikh explains what you can expect when you take your child to the doctor before the first day of school. Aside from measuring your child’s height, weight, blood pressure, hearing and vision, your doctor may ask about mood and temperament. Vaccines are not only safe but are vital to your child’s health so make sure they receive shots specifically for polio, chicken pox, and MMR. This can be a stressful time so make appointments early to ensure your child is ready for the new year.
