In this video, Dr. Preeti Parikh talks about what you can expect from your child when they reach 11 months old. At this stage they are becoming social creatures; they will interact more with people around them and their language skills are improving every day. To further encourage this, make sure you read with your child as much as possible. They should be able to point out specific pictures when you ask, help turn the page and even repeat simple, one-syllable words. At 11 months they start to understand the meaning of the word no, which can lead to some crying, but don’t worry that’s normal!
