In this video, Dr. Preeti Parikh talks about what you can expect from your child when they reach 16 months old. At this stage your child is probably moving around non-stop; they can stand on one foot without falling over but still needs help conquering the stairs. Their language skills are improved and can understand simple commands. They will also start to explore drawing so encourage using crayons but set limits, as you don’t want your walls to pay the price! If your child is not doing any of the things Dr. Parikh mentions in the video, contact your pediatrician to see if your child has some form of developmental delays.
