The Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once. If you think you may have been exposed to HIV, it is important to see a doctor immediately. There are some drugs such as post exposure prophylaxis that can stop the virus if taken within three days of exposure. In this video, Dr. Keri Peterson explains the several tests that can be administered to determine if you have HIV.
