Pregnancy Nausea & Heartburn - PT 2

Half of pregnant women experience pregnancy heartburn and pregnancy nausea. It usually arrives in the 2nd half of pregnancy and goes away once the baby is born. In this video, Registered Dietitian Sheila Kelly provides tips on how to combat both heartburn and constipation. If you are suffering from pregnancy heartburn, suck on hard candies to increase your saliva. Avoiding trigger foods like carbonated drinks, chocolate, caffeine and fried food is very helpful. It is important to eat 4-6 hours before bed and focus on eating smaller meals more frequently.
