The first step in preventing CAD is getting tested to see if you have the disease and if so, how far it has progressed.

The first step in preventing CAD is getting tested to see if you have the disease and if so, how far it has progressed. A common test is an electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG). Your doctor may also order an arteriography in which dye is shot into your bloodstream and x-rays are taken. Once it is determined you do have coronary artery disease, you will have several treatment options as discussed in this video by Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher.
