Preventing Hypertension

One diet approach to preventing high blood pressure & hypertension is called the DASH diet which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension.

Take control of your blood pressure. If left untreated, hypertension can cause damage to any number of organs and can lead to heart failure, stroke and kidney failure. In this video, Dr. Holly Atkinson shares some tips on how to avoid hypertension such as frequent screening and eating a healthy diet. She also explains what the DASH diet is and why it is so effective.
