Radiation & Chemotherapy

Nearly half of all cancer patients receive some type of radiation therapy. The goal of radiation is to stop cancer cells from multiplying while sparing as much healthy tissue as possible. Chemotherapy on the other hand, uses drugs or chemicals to kill rapidly dividing cells (both cancerous and healthy). In this video, Dr. Holly Atkinson explains what you can expect during radiation and chemotherapy.
