Signs of Colorectal Cancer

In this video, Dr. Roshini Raj explains some important signs of colorectal cancer, as well as any risk factors of colorectal cancer.

Early detection is key to treating colorectal cancer. While we do not know why someone ends up with colorectal cancer; there are risk factors of colorectal cancer that affect your odds. They include age, a history of polyps, bowel disease, family history of colorectal cancer, race and ethnicity, and diabetes. However, nearly 80% of colorectal cancer cases are found within people who are not considered high risk.

In this video, Dr. Roshini Raj explains some important signs of colorectal cancer. For example, a change in your bowel habits, including diarrhea, constipation, or a change in the consistency of your stool for more than just a couple of weeks, that could be an indicator. In addition, any rectal bleeding or blood in your stool, persistent abdominal discomfort, or unexplained weight loss could be indicator of colorectal cancer.
