Talking With Your Doctor about Erectile Dysfunction

Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher explains how to start a conversation about erectile dysfunction with your doctor and your partner.

Erectile dysfunction is much more common than you may think, so you shouldn't be embarrassed to bring it up with your doctor. In fact, Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher speaks with patients about erectile dysfunction almost every day in his practice. If you are experiencing erectile dysfunction, it is important to openly discuss it with your doctor so that you can get help and find the right erectile dysfunction treatment for you. Finding an effective erectile dysfunction treatment will help you have a healthy sex life. It is also important to talk about since ED could be a sign of other more serious conditions.

In this video, Dr. Knoepflmacher suggests some ways you can start a conversation about erectile dysfunction with your doctor. Although it may be uncomfortable at first, don't be nervous and just be natural. You could say that you're having some problems in the bedroom, or that you're having problems performing. Your doctor will be able to help you from there.

Dr. Knoepflmacher explains that there are many erectile dysfunction treatment methods available, ranging from medicines to other types of therapies. Patients are often relieved to discover that erectile dysfunction treatment usually works very quickly and effectively.

When it comes to discussing ED with your partner, Dr. Knoepflmacher thinks that honesty is the best policy. If you explain the issues with erectile dysfunction you are experiencing and talk about how you're feeling, your partner will be able to understand and help you through it. Being open about ED will put you on the right path to finding an effective erectile dysfunction treatment and improving your sex life. A healthy sex life is part of a good, healthy life.

It is also important to be open and discuss ED with your doctor because erectile dysfunction can reflect other serious diseases, such as heart disease, vascular disease or diabetes. If you are experiencing erectile dysfunction, talk to your doctor to get help and learn about your options for ED treatment.
