Constipation can be very uncomfortable. In this video, learn how to relieve constipation by adhering to a constipation diet with high fiber foods.

Many times, a diet is the main culprit of being constipated. Meals that contain low fiber and high fat are often responsible for keeping you from going the bathroom on a regular basis.

In this video, Dr. Keri Peterson explains how to relieve constipation by adding fiber to your diet. She states that women should eat 25 grams of fiber per day, and men should try for 38 grams a day. She lists a variety of foods best for a constipation diet, including high fiber foods that you can consume in order to relieve the uncomfortable issue.

Most bouts of constipation are temporary, but if your constipation is lasting longer than three weeks, call your doctor.
