Treatment for Psoriatic Arthritis

Treatment for psoriatic arthritis is available to lesson the joint pain that comes with psoriatic arthritis. Depending on the severity of your condition you may be prescribed oral medication for psoriatic arthritis, topical medication, or injections. If your condition is mild, your doctor will most likely prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which includes over the counter medication, like aspirin, as well as other types of medication. If the non-steroidal medication does not work, your doctor may prescribe certain steroids. If your condition does not improve after a few weeks your doctor may want to change the treatment. In this video Dr. Preeti Parikh explains the various treatment options and how they affect your psoriatic arthritis.
