Plyometrics, also known as jump training or plyos are exercises in which the muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time! Plyometric training increases strength and agility.
In this episode of Kickstart Workout, certified personal trainer Holly Rilinger teaches you a 12 minute Plyometrics workout. This type of exercise is not recommended if you experience joint problems, but if you don't, they are a great way to get an intense workout in a short period of time. In this workout, Holly leads you through 30 second of an explosive movement followed by 30 seconds of a core movement. This workout includes line jumps, plank, high skips, side plank, speed skaters, jump squats, slow bicycles, burpees, Russian twists, and 180 jumps.
