Whether you’re in the mood for a grapefruit juice or just trying to mix new fruits into your diet; grapefruit is a wonderful addition to your fruit salad but might take you a while to peel and segment.
In this video, Phoebe demonstrates how to segment a grapefruit. Begin by removing both ends of the grapefruit, which is where the stem used to be. Next, take a large chef's knife and cut both ends, one at a time. Now you'll want to run your knife along the sides to remove all of the peel, cleaning up the white pith as you go along. Find the natural seam with your knife and begin to cut into the grapefruit. Grab your paring knife to cut your fruit into little segments. Now that you have learned how to segment a grapefruit, you'll be able to enjoy this tasty citrus fruit more often!
