BPH: What Is Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, Exactly?

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate glands. As the prostate enlarges, it can squeeze down on the urethra. In this video, Dr. Paul Knoepflmacher explains ways to limit risk factors. These include increasing physical activity, losing weight, controlling diabetes, and limiting alcohol intake. There are however risk factors you cannot change, such as family history of BPH and race.
