If you or a loved one are experiencing signs of Alzheimer’s, visit a doctor so they can give a proper Alzheimers diagnosis. The doctor will run tests to rule out any similar conditions as well as talk to you about your family history. Then they will run you through mental testing to determine the amount of brain function that has been lost. Finally, brain imaging like a CT scan, an MRI or a PET scan will be completed. If you are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, you will want to start Alzheimers treatment right away. In this video, Dr. Holly Atkinson discusses some possible treatment options.
