Depression Signs and Symptoms

Recognizing you’re suffering from depression is the first step in treating the disease.
Depression signs and symptoms include loss of interest in daily activities, feelings of helplessness, hopelessness or sadness and crying spells, as well as suicidal thoughts in some people. A few other things to look for are loss of energy and concentration, problems sleeping and significant weight loss or gain.

Depression affects more than 15 million American adults, or about 6.7 percent of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. So there is no need to feel alone and ashamed of your condition!
