Doctors and researchers still are not completely certain on what causes Fibromyalgia. Likely factors that lead to Fibromyalgia include physical or emotional traumas, infections, sleep disorders and abnormal sensory processing in the brain. Another risk factor is gender as 75-90% of those suffering from Fibromyalgia are women.
