What is Fibromyalgia? This is a syndrome that affects the muscles and soft tissue, this is primarily a long term or chronic disorder. The causes for fibromyalgia are still unknown to medical researchers and doctors but through decades of researh they have a better understanding of the factors of this syndrome. 

Fibromyalgia syndrome is that usually runs in the family and is triggered by trauma and stress. Women account for 80 percent of the fibromyalgia cases. 

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome that affects 5-10 million Americans. As Dr. Holly Atkinson explains in this video, Fibromyalgia is seen mostly in women and symptoms include fatigue, widespread pain, stiffness, sleeping problems, aching and tenderness in muscles and joints.
