Babyhood Basics - Back to Work

For new mothers, going back to work can cause a lot of stress - but it doesn’t have to be that way.

In this video, Lactation Consultant Melissa Nagin talks with Mommy Melissa about her breastfeeding habits and how she plans to build up a bank of milk for her 11-week old Ari. Nagin explains that it is best to pump in the morning as milk supply is at its highest. They also discuss the benefits of breastfeeding in general; one being the antibodies in breast milk strengthens the baby’s immune system. A bonus for mothers who breastfeed is they can burn up to 500 calories per hour. That’s a win-win!
