When and where can a new mother pump at work? Breastfeeding is important to a newborn’s health and Lactation Consultant Melissa Nagin has all the answers for mothers pumping for their newborns.
Nagin explains that the best pumping environment is one that makes you feel as comfortable as possible. Talk to your HR department to see if your employer has a room set up for pumping as some of the bigger companies often do. As for your time, Nagin recommends having a short conversation with your boss informing them of your changing schedule. Remember, legally no one can deny you the right to breast pump whenever and wherever you want.
