Sure, there are tons of ways to cook asparagus, but the simplest and most versatile is blanching. Blanching is a cooking technique used primarily for vegetables and fruits, which is plunged into boiling water for a short period of time then plunged into cold water to shock the cooking process. 

Phoebe overviews how to blanch asparagus quickly and easily! First, break stocks to find the tender portion to eat. Then place asparagus in boiling water and cook for a few minutes prior to placing in an ice bath. The ice will shock the asparagus and lock in the bright green color. Then you have beautiful asparagus that you can serve to your liking at room temperature!
